Duranno Father School is a ministry that began in 1995 in Korea, born out of the need to address the growing absence of fathers in families as the nation developed. The word “Duranno” is the Korean pronunciation of "Tyrannus," the classroom where the Apostle Paul taught in Acts 19:9.
The fee includes course materials, two meals, a Father School uniform, and a towel. These are provided to support your full participation and experience in the program.

Once you’ve signed up, simply set aside your weekend schedule. Think of this as an investment in your family. Inform your loved ones about it—they’ll appreciate your commitment to grow.
There are four main sessions:
- Father’s Influence – Identifying both the positive and negative influence we carry from our own fathers.
- Father’s Manhood – Addressing struggles and cultural messages about masculinity.
- Father’s Mission – Reflecting on our calling as husbands and fathers.
- Father’s Spirituality & Family – Understanding the authority and responsibility God gives to men in the family.
You can expect personal growth, healing, and new friendships with other men who share similar journeys. Many past participants experienced restored relationships with their wives and children, and found strength in a healthy, supportive men’s community.
Father School consists of four sessions. You may miss a maximum of one session, but the final session and graduation are compulsory. If you are unable to complete this run, you are welcome to join the next one to finish the course.
Yes. We invite wives and children to the graduation, but if your family can’t attend, you can still complete the course. You’ll be given a meaningful homework assignment to do with your family afterward.
Father School began in Onnuri Presbyterian Church, Korea. Today, it operates as an independent ministry used across many denominations around the world.
Over the years, Father School has been welcomed by churches from various denominations including Methodist, Anglican, Baptist, Gospel Hall, Pentecostal, and independent churches.
Globally, Father School has been held in 77 countries and 311 cities with over 444,000 graduates. In Malaysia, it is currently offered in English, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, Nepali and we are exploring expansion into Tamil and indigenous languages.
If your church has a heart to reach and restore men, we’re here to help. All you need is a willing leadership team and a weekend. We’ll provide the speakers, volunteers, and materials. We’re happy to run the course for as few as 10 fathers.
