My name is Tek Raj Gurung.
I have been married for 20 years. Five years after our marriage, we were blessed with a child. Around that same time, my family came to know the Lord—and for that, I am truly thankful to Him.
Back then, what I understood was this: as the son of the house, as a man and a father, it was my duty to earn and provide for my family. I lived according to that belief.
However, when I had the opportunity to participate in the Durranno Father School Nepal–Malaysia program in Malaysia, I came to a new understanding.
I learned how a father should truly fulfill his responsibilities—and how one should live as a father and as a person.
Today, I am striving to live as a good father.
Not as a controlling or authoritarian father, but as a servant father, committed to fulfilling my responsibilities toward my family. I am learning to live with spirituality and holiness, and to love my family with purity and integrity.
I have come to realize that the Durranno Father School plays a vital role in helping fathers protect and maintain their God-given authority and identity. I want to express my deep gratitude to the Father School.
In 2023, I had the opportunity to learn, and in 2024, I was able to serve as a volunteer—and for that, I thank the Lord.
Finally, I want to say this to all fathers:
When the Durranno Father School comes to your church or community, let us participate, let us learn, and let us not miss the opportunity to become and build healthy fathers, healthy families, healthy churches, and a healthy nation.
